Do you love middle-eastern food? Well if your palate is anything like ours, Paramount was calling your name as soon as it opened!

Located on Upper James in the old Lick’s building, this market-style/family atmosphere resto is always busy, always friendly and always delicious.

Logo

Their logo, a globe and their symbolic “P”, is reminiscent of the cultural and worldly aspect that they bring to the city. We think their logo is great for the clientele they’re looking to reach.

Atmosphere

At Paramount Fine Foods, there are two different design styles that greet you on entry. One element is a family-friendly grab-and-go style and the other is an elegant, extravagant feel.  Family-friendly elements include things such as pre-made meals for pick up, chalk board menu boards and a ball pit for the kids. The elegant side of the design includes decor like crystal ball chandeliers and an indoor waterfall wall.

We also loved how it was comfortable enough for families; though the ball pit kind of threw us off . However, we did love seeing a prayer room!

Food

Lindsay – I ordered the fattoush salad and the Zatar Manakeesh. Oh my goodness. I have ordered these items from other places before but nothing compares to Paramount. Somehow I managed to eat only a quarter of my manakeesh so that I could save some for the next day. It was so good I went back days later with the boyfriend. (And have been back many times since).

Heather – Since it’s one of my faves .. I also ordered the Fattoush salad (playing it safe, I know!), but I tried something new with the Sausage with Cheese Manakeesh. The Sausage Manakeesh had some strong spices in it that I wasn’t sure about, but for someone who loves cumin this would be a dream come true. Loved the Fattoush as always!

Brand

Paramount Fine Foods is just that – fine food! We can tell the focus is around the experience of eating – and we think that comes across.

We love Paramount’s Social Media Campaign! They have a tremendous web presence and we think it’s definitely paying off for them – word of mouth customers are a regular occurrence at Paramount.

Recommendations

We like the idea of ordering at a counter for take out but we definitely think they should consider servers for the clientele dinning in. It’s a great way to up-sell and get your customers to spend more.
