Though they’re not made *right* in Hamilton, I knew I had to write about the family-owned Andrzejewski Perogies after trying their products… to help share the news and get these perogies into more Hamiltonians bellies!
Based out of St. Catharines, Ontario, Andrzejewski Perogies specializes in jumbo perogies with a huge variety of stuffing options. They do offer the traditional flavours like Potato/Bacon/Cheese (jumbo size, of course) and Sauerkraut with Bacon (Kapusta), but also offer their specialty flavours including: Beef Taco, Pulled Pork, Mild or Hot Sausage, Reuben, Pizza, Philly Cheese Steak, Chicken/Broccoli/Rice, Breakfast, Buffalo Chicken, and Apple Pie.

You can guess by the name of their company, that this family is serious about their perogies! All of their products are hand-made with care and are seriously jumbo (as if I didn’t say that enough already, but it’s true). You really only need about 2 or 3 to make a full meal. The perogies come in packs of 4, frozen, for $10.
The packages can be ordered online, but the team will also be at a few Hamilton events over the next few months – such as Craftadian Christmas Market, RBG’s Fest of Ales, and the Terra Winter Market. The full list of events you can find them at is on their website!
After John, the owner of Andrzejewski Perogies, and his wife both lost their jobs – they decided it was the perfect time to start their own food business, sharing a modern version of John’s grandmother Martha’s traditional perogie recipe. From there, they have expanded the business and even included both their son and daughter in the building of the company.
Andrzejewski Perogies truly is a family-run business!
