Tea Amo Travelling Tea Trailer

Have you noticed I’ve been a little MIA on my blog writing recently? The reason for that is: June marked the first month of my new business!

In June, my Mom – Marian, and I launched Tea Amo: A Travelling Tea Trailer!

Tea Amo (pronounced Tee Ah-Moe) is run out of a renovated vintage trailer, and serves the greater Hamilton area serving up hot teas, iced teas, and dainty treats. Basically, we can bring the afternoon tea experience right to the people of Hamilton, whether it’s someone’s front door or a summer market!

I purchased the trailer back in 2013 with the idea to run a tea service out of it. I had always loved tea rooms and food trucks, and when I came across the trailer for sale, it seemed like it could be the ideal fit to bring those two passions together. Flash forward to Spring 2019 and renovations on the vintage trailer had been completed by my Dad (and a little help from us to pretty it up!), my Mom had just retired and it seemed like the perfect time for us to launch this venture together.

Our teas are high-quality loose-leaf, and our baked goods – such as shortbread cookies – are handmade by local women entrepreneurs. (The only exception being our Raspberry Cake Roll, which was my grandmother’s favourite treat with tea).

Find us around the Greater Hamilton area at markets, food truck events, and the local parks.

We also offer private events services! For weddings, showers, anniversaries, corporate events or birthday parties, we have a customizable tea menu experience.
